#LLC21Days - A Key To Defeating Sin’s Grip…

Thank God we’re not left we’re not left alone to try to win over sin. I absolutely love today’s scripture! (Eph 1:17-19)

One of sin’s major power points is deception. Sin seems to conceal its true destructive nature and intention behind an alluring disguise that is adopted to appeal directly to the desires of my flesh. This is the primary reason that depending on my own rationale, strength, and willpower is never the path to walk in freedom over the power of sin.

Eph 1:17-19 spotlights a major key to living free of sin’s grip: KNOWING GOD. The more I know Him (i.e. not just fact-based knowledge about him; but a relationship with Him through His Word, prayer, fellowship, etc.) the more I will SEE THROUGH sin’s deception and recognize it for what it is.

This, along with things like worship, thanksgiving, accountability, etc. will give me the power to turn my back on sin and habits that have had my number for years.
